Welcome to my business! I'm Jackie, proudly serving the southeast side of Sioux Falls. As a busy mom of two, I understand how important self care is. I've designed my space to feel relaxing, uplifting, and inspiring. Having that "me time" where you can zone out for a couple hours while feeling beautiful is exactly what us women need!
My Background and What I Do
I've been doing hair for 16 years and I honestly can't believe that. I never realized how in love and passionate I would become with what I do. Before I had kids, I worked for Matrix as an educator which really elevated my color knowledge. I got to travel to Cancun twice, Palm Springs, and New York for trainings I will never forget. I make it a priority to always learn, always grow, and keep things new and exciting. My area of expertise is highlighting and dimensional colors, grey coverage/ grey blending, and bridal styling.
My Clean Living Journey
Back in 2017, I started having some strange neurological issues that caused major dizziness and ringing in my ears. After months of getting no answers, I found a holistic doctor and learned that my body was basically just at a toxic overload amongst a lot of other interesting things. This is when I started digging and actually started reading the ingredients in our food and products and I couldn't believe what was deemed "safe." It was no wonder I didn't feel good. It was also fascinating that once I removed those toxins, I started to feel better. Most of the time people don't just wake up one day and decide to be crunchy or whatever you want to call it. It's because they got sick and tired of not feeling well. It's extremely difficult to do anything without your health and this is why I prioritize mine. Am I always a health nut? No. Sometimes I want that huge piece of costco cake. Sometimes I want chocolate. It's called living, and a healthy balance, not perfection is the key.
