Welcome to my business! I'm Jackie, and after 11 rewarding years in Sioux Falls, I’m excited to return to my hometown of Rock Valley, IA where I'll be opening my brand new salon studio. I plan to open mid-July and booking is now open for the new location! In this new chapter, I strive to create a faith-centered environment where women can feel inspired and enjoy a healthier salon experience. Join me on this journey toward clean beauty and a supportive community!
My Background and What I Do
With over 16 years of experience, I have developed a deep passion for hairstyling that continues to inspire me every day. My background as a Matrix educator has enriched my color knowledge, allowing me to master highlighting, dimensional colors, grey coverage, and bridal styling. I am committed to learning and innovation, ensuring that every visit is fresh, exciting, and tailored to your unique needs.
My Clean Living Journey
Back in 2017, I started having some strange neurological issues that caused major dizziness and ringing in my ears. After months of getting no answers, I found a holistic doctor and learned that my body was basically just at a toxic overload amongst a lot of other interesting things. This is when I started digging and actually started reading the ingredients in our food and products and I couldn't believe what was deemed "safe." It was no wonder I didn't feel good. It was also fascinating that once I removed those toxins, I started to feel better. Most of the time people don't just wake up one day and decide to be crunchy or whatever you want to call it. It's because they got sick and tired of not feeling well. It's extremely difficult to do anything without your health and this is why I prioritize mine. Am I always a health nut? No. Sometimes I want that huge piece of costco cake. Sometimes I want chocolate. It's called living, and a healthy balance, not perfection is the key.
